The Advent of New Age Technology for Sci-Fi Movies

Science Fiction movies are one of the genres of films which have witnessed a lot of change in our present century. Though the concept of sci-fi films were here since the 1950s , the advent of technology and filmography techniques make today’s sci-fi films more realistic and resolute. You are led to believe in what is shown that something like that really exists in your world as well. Just have a look at the recent blockbuster Avatar and another very similar appreciated movie, 2012 ,and you will realize that the Sci-Fi movies have come of age and they can really show something beyond your imagination.

The lack of technology could not have made this type of cinematography possible for some of the great filmmakers(the pioneers who started the trend) to make sci-fi masterpieces of this caliber. Today with graphics, animations and other technological effects one can create a different planet, a more realistic space ship, or more horrifying man vs machine movies like Transformers. People have accepted the imagination and concepts of these movies readily, especially the young generation who fall in love with them.

The biggest technology leap in Sci-Fi movies came with the movie Independence Day directed by Roland Emmrich. He is the man behind 2012 also. The use of cutting-edge technology can be seen in movies like Titanic, the Jurassic Park series and others where animations and robotic movements of animals play a great role. Today, this technology can offer a more realistic and integrated feel to the movie experience. In Avatar you can see the planet Pandora where humans invade for the powerful mineral called unobtanium. The planet and its surroundings, its creatures and other natural features have been shown to be so perfect that you believe the luminescent plants exists.

The experience of sci-fi movies which can elaborately present you with visually with something fictitious with the feel of being so real. The use of technologies like the 24 frames-per- second rate, and digital animation and graphics increases the budget of these movies, as well as creating something for which people pay at the box office to get entertained. Sci-fi movies motivate people to think and feel something beyond their imagination, and technology enables a film maker to give life to his or her imagination as well. Thanks to these techniques, it allows film makers to create masterpieces like Avatar.

How Does AV Matrix Relays Audio And Video Signals Simultaneously From And to Multiple Devices

Matrix switches which are capable of relaying audio and video from multiple sources to multiple devices are known as AV Matrix switches. These devices are the most demanded units in the category of matrix units as they can replay both audio and video signals. Available in sizes ranging from 2×2 form factors to 32×32, they can be single stand alone desktop units or rack mountable enterprises. For larger configurations, these units can also be cascaded or daisy chained. Supporting resolutions of 1920×1200, they allow any input to be routed to any output; or the same input may be routed to all outputs or any combination. The main advantage of this device is the elimination of the need to disconnect and reconnect the input and output cables. Control over this AV Switcher can be exercised using RS232, Infra red remote control, front panel push buttons or TCP/IP technology. The LEDs in front indicate the connection status. Offering multi platform support, these units can be used with VGA source devices such as Personal computer, set top box, DVD players and satellite receivers, etc. A combination of a video splitter and switch in one unit, this device has a bandwidth of 380 MHz. Connections are secured using standard VGA cables eliminating the need for bulky coax cables with BNC connectors. Low power consumption, excellent stereo audio and video performance and an excellent ESD rating are some key features of this device. The other variant of this switch is the CAT5 Video Matrix Switch. This device allows routing multiple UXGA Video and Stereo Audio sources to multiple remote monitors and speakers via standard UTP and STP Cat5 / Ca6 cable up to 1000 feet away. Ideal in scenarios where long runs are necessary for the audio and video output locations and where versatility and security is essential, this switch finds its usage in secure government as well as military institutions, commercial organizations like banks, mobile command centers, conference centers and data centers. Many advantages are associated with these units such as easy access to multiple servers in various locations, safe guarding the servers by storing them in a secure location and providing access from the production floor, saving physical space and offering increased return on investment and increasing productivity. The AV Matrix switch buffers video outputs and analog delivery of stereo audio maintains optimum integrity throughout the system. Due to all these features and advantages, it is widely used in commercial and educational institutions as well as government and military establishments.

Prevent Gadget Obesity

People are on a mission to streamline and downsize their lives – and MP3 players are no exception. While it seems that gadgets seem to be getting bigger and bigger, the introduction of thin MP3 player devices is a welcome addition to any streamlined lifestyle. Bulky MP3 players could soon be a thing of the past. Sales are already proving this to be true. The fact that a thin MP3 player is outselling larger MP3 players is a staggering trend that is sure to continue. Luckily, some MP3 manufacturers are catching on to the trend. However, some aren’t.

The SanDisk Sansa series is an example of obese gadgetry. While the Sansas have good battery life and work well, they are heavy and bulky. They are certainly not what one would call a sleek, small MP3 player. The Sony Walkman E-Series is quite bulky as well. Most people probably haven’t even heard of these models of MP3 players and the reason is simple: they are too big. Best selling MP3 players can’t be big, plain and simple. Large MP3 players are difficult to carry around at the gym and are simply inconvenient overall. Modern society loathes inconvenience.

Think of the MP3 players you see people with at the gym or around town. Which type do you most frequently see? Thin ones of course! A clear example of a thin MP3 player would be the Apple iPod Nano or the iPod Shuffle. However, another great example of a small MP3 player is the entire Archos Vision line of MP3/MP4 players. While you may not see the Archos variety as often as you see an iPod (yet), the Archos Vision MP3 and MP4 players are gaining notoriety and popularity very quickly. With rave reviews, Archos is definitely a serious competitor for Apple. With sleek craftsmanship, large storage capacity, and fabulous prices, Archos is sure to be a hit among MP3 seekers who want to stand out in a crowd and want something different than the typical iPod.

Help prevent gadget obesity by purchasing a thin, well-designed small MP3 player that won’t weigh you down! There are several options for MP3 players that you can take anywhere and store anywhere, even comfortably in your pocket or the palm of your hand. Archos and Apple are the two leading brands that will get you on the road to sleek portability in the MP3 player world. Obese MP3 players are so out!
