CAT5 Matrix Switch- Audio Video Inputs Routed from Multiple Sources to Multiple Displays

A CAT5 Matrix Switch is used to route audio video inputs from multiple sources to multiple displays. Both video and audio can be routed to multiple monitors and speakers via category cables. Since multiple inputs can be connected to multiple outputs in any fashion, a web like pattern of interconnection possibilities is created. Available in sizes ranging from 8 in 8 out to 32 in and 16 out, these units can also be cascaded to achieve greater configurations. The key feature of this device is elimination of moving around input and output cables for various viewing combinations. Since both video and audio signals are routed, this device is also called the AV Switcher. Operating on simple plug and play functionality, this device does not require any additional software or device drivers for operation. Switching between the source and display is simple and control can be exercised via RS422, which can be connected through RJ45 port on the face plate of the unit. An optional Windows compatible software control application (SmartNetControl) that includes a RS422 to RS232 converter can also be used. Other methods of control include Port switching through a Graphical User Interface and via an infrared remote. Ideal for situations where long runs are necessary for the audio and video output locations and where versatility and security is essential, the AV Switcher finds it use in secure government and military institutions, commercial organizations like banks, mobile command centers, conference centers and data centers. Supporting multiple resolutions like VGA (640 x 480) up to 1000 feet, SVGA (800 x 600) up to 600 feet, XGA (1024 x 768) up to 450 feet, UXGA(1600 x 1200) up to 300 feet and WUXGA(1900 x 1200) up to 100 feet, these switches have a video amplifier bandwidth greater than 380 MHz. A single audio/video output can be routed to multiple destinations and each image will be crystal clear as if connected to original source. Available in desktop and rack mountable versions, these devices support a maximum distance of 1500 feet between the local and remote units. Equipped with an in built power surge and transient protection, the Cat5 Matrix Switch has a designated trimmer in the remote unit to compensate for length. LEDs on the front panel indicate the connectivity status. Operating at a temperature of 32F to 100F (0C to 38C) and relative humidity between 17 to 90% non-condensing RH, the storage temperature of this device should not be above 140F. All the above mentioned features make this Matrix switch a useful device for multimedia presentations.

Cat5 Video Matrix- Simultaneous Audio And Video Transmission Over Long Distances

Multiple video and stereo audio sources can be relayed to multiple output devices with the help of cat5 matrix switch. Consisting of a local transmitter unit placed next to the source and a remote receiver placed next to the display, the connections between these two units are secured using standard UTP or STP Cat5e, Cat6 cables and distance of extension can be up to 1000 feet. Available in sizes ranging from 8×8 to 32×16, greater configurations up to 64 x 64 can be achieved by cascading these devices. VGA, SVGA, XGA and UXGA resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 @ 85 Hz are supported with a bandwidth of 400 MHz. These units can be controlled by using front panel push buttons, RS232 control, TCP/IP access or Infra red remote control.

This cat5 video matrix switch is equipped with security features that safeguard the servers by storing them in a secure and climate controlled environment while still providing access from the production floor. A space saving solution, these devices also minimize investment in equipment and utilities. They increase the productivity by facilitating testing and performance evaluation of software and equipment, on multiple servers, from a single keyboard mouse and monitor station. The buffered video outputs and analog delivery of stereo audio maintains optimum integrity throughout the system. Ensuring high quality audio video switching, they are compatible with Line Level Stereo Audio Signals. For each color it is equipped with an equalization adjustment potentiometer.

The AV Switcher presents the audio on the Cat5 Video Router as dual RCAs for the stereo pair. All the signals relayed via Cat5 cables are distributed, balanced and driven differentially. Due to this, there is immunity to external noise and interference. Balanced signals also minimize emissions, as any interference transmissions from the cable are cancelled out. 3 Pairs of the CAT5 cable are used for the three colors and the stereo audio. Pair 4 is used for inline power and the returned Infrared signals from the user. This device also comes with a windows-based control software package is included to provide complete control from a PC.

This video matrix switch is a router allowing multiple combinations of inputs and outputs. The key feature of this device is that it eliminates the need to constantly disconnect and reconnect input and output cables.

HDMI Over CAT5 Extend Hdmi Devices Without The Limitation of Distance

Long distance HDMI extension is made possible by using the HDMI Extender. Since HDMI cables have a restriction on the distance to which the video signals can be extended, the HDMI over CAT5 extender was designed. This device uses Category 5 or 6 cables for connecting the source and display devices. Consisting of a local transmitter which is placed next to the computer or other video source and a remote receiver placed next to the display, this compact extension device relays uncompressed digital streams. The image which is displayed is as clear as it would be if directly connected to the display device. Resolutions supported vary with different distances at which the source and display are placed. At 60M, the resolution is 1080p and 60MHz while at 120M it is 1080i and 60MHz.

Both HDMI as well as DVI inputs can be supported by this Cat5 HDMI Extension device. Following a standard IEEE-168B protocol, it has features like auto adjustment of feedback, equalization and amplification. Some models are also available with Infra red remote control and can extend video up to a distance of 330 feet. Other models use two easy to install twisted pair of Cat6 cables for longer transmission or a single cable for shorter distances. Compatible with almost all operating systems, these devices support digital video along with audio. HDCP compliant, it also supports DDWG standards for HDMI compliant monitors. Along with this, it is also compliant with standard modulated IR and the latest IRDA.

The home theater experience can be enhanced using this Audio video Extender as it relays both audio and video in real time. One can connect their PCs to the latest LCD monitors or TVs and watch movies or browse the internet in high definition. Data broadcasting institutions, training and presentation facilities, corporate and educational environments and digital signage applications can all use this device. Operating on plug and play functionality, HDMI video can be easily extended to large distances without running multiple wires from source components to a display device. This results in reduced costs and higher ROI.

This device supports protection of copyrighted digital content and encrypts the video signal between the source device and the display. This feature ensures that the HDMI over Cat5 Extender is widely used in security and surveillance organizations.
